Technically sponsored conferences

These are conferences in which the IEEE DEIS participates. The papers meeting IEEE standards may be available via IEEE Xplore.

This conference is being organized for the fourth time, in line with the present-day requirements in the global scenario of various condition assessment techniques for a variety of electrical systems. The purpose of this conference is to provide broad coverage and dissemination of fundamental research in condition monitoring and assessment among researchers, academics, industry, and practitioners. The technical program of CATCON consists of tutorials, invited talks, posters, and oral presentations. Research papers describing original work on theories, methodologies, abstractions, algorithms, industry applications, and case studies are invited.

ISDEIV covers a wide range of scientific and technical areas including vacuum breakdown and flashover, vacuum arc physics, pulse power physics and technology, vacuum interrupters and other applications. The six-day Symposium will provide an excellent opportunity for both formal presentation and informal discussion to Symposium participants.

  • September 21-26, 2025 – Sichuan University, Chengdu, China

CMD covers a broad range of areas such as: Evaluation of failure and degradation of power equipment based on CMD; Advanced sensors and diagnosis techniques for Smart Grid; Strategy planning and asset management for power equipment; Fusion of Big Data and Smart Grid Control with CMD techniques for power equipment; Insulation structure design and lifetime assessment for HVDC system; Degradation and lifetime assessment of new energy devices for power generation and storage.

The scope of the conference is to share the experiences and to discuss the latest developments and future challenges confronting the dielectric and electrical insulation society by gathering researchers working with industry, government, and academic institutions. Papers on the following topics are particularly welcome: Polymeric insulators and outdoor insulation; Space charge measurements; On-line monitoring and diagnostics of power apparatus, GIS and cables; Diagnosis of GIS and DC cables; Development of polymeric cables and joints for higher electric fields; Organic and inorganic thin films; New and functional materials including biological and medical dielectrics; Ferroelectric materials.

INSUCON is being held in Europe at intervals of 3 or 4 years. The first Conference in this series was held in 1970 and was called the BEAMA International Conference. Since 1998, INSUCON has been organized by the Electrical Insulation Association, a trade association in the UK, and the conference attracts engineers, consultants, and University researchers from all over the world. INSUCON covers a wide range of materials, processes, and products used in engineering applications. Although generally directed at medium and high voltage equipment, there is a broad scope to the technical papers which are accepted for publication.

IYCE provides an opportunity for young professionals (undergraduate, MSc, PhD students and entrant engineers) to present their energy and power engineering related work in a friendly international environment. Conference topics include Energy Sources & Production, Power Transmission and Electronics, High Voltage Technology and Dielectrics, Energy Management, Policy, and Regulations, Energy Environment & Sustainability, and Digitalization in Energy
