Sustainable insulation for power cables

Abstract- The presentation will explain the performance of sustainable insulation materials for power cables for power cables from 1 kV to 600 kV for AC and DC application. It will give the differences between polypropylene based insulation systems compared to XLPE. It will also highlight the different solutions that are available based on polypropylene from different suppliers. At the end we will shortly highlight the implication of recycled material in low voltage cables.

Dipl. Ing Detlef Wald, More than 30 years practical experience in the cable industry. Having a cable with PP insulation since more than 7 years in service.
